This wall art print is called 'God Plays Dice with the Universe'.

It is inspired by the famous quote by Albert Einstein:

"God does not play dice with the Universe."

This quote has often been misinterpreted to assume that Einstein was religious.

In fact he wasn't.

His use of 'God' was as a metaphor (and largely because of his own personal misgivings about how Quantum Mechanics was being perceived to work, when Einstein was actively trying to figure out his own take on the 'laws' of cutting edge physics).

He made this quite clear in a letter he wrote in 1954; where he said:

"I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it."

Which is something I can happily get on board with.

In truth, the provable, factual science that surrounds us, and that all of us now routinely take for granted, would have been indistinguishable from magic in ages past!

Can you imagine what someone from the Middle Ages would have made of:

  • Flying in a plane (Don't only God's fly?)
  • TV's (Where are the pictures coming from??)
  • Radio (Are these spirit voices?)

Let alone the internet, or AI, or robotics!

So, we live in amazing times. And, I have no doubt that the future will reveal scientific bridges to truths about many currently metaphysical / spiritual subject areas, such as the Law of Attraction and others.

There really is a big rabbit-hole to go down with many areas of classical and quantum physics that is far, far stranger then any fiction or God could ever dream up.

Entanglement, multiple dimensions, parallel universes.

We are the stuff of stars.

And truthfully.

That is enough.

It's kinda fun to imagine God playing dice with the Universe!

Getting out his / her / it's / whatever's Newton's Cradle (so named after Sir Isaac Newton, which is a device that demonstrates conservation of momentum and energy - by metal balls swinging backwards and forwards in a cool way!)

But, instead of the metal balls, sets the Planets in our Solar System swinging!

(From left to right... Earth, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, Venus, Mars and then Mercury on the far right).

At the top you can see the dice doing their dice thing. Randomising the patterns of life, even as many things swing on a very steady fulcrum of control and order. While the hand of God sets it all in motion in a true Sistine Chapel ceiling type way.

Lightning shooting from his fingertips.

Life. Spreading. Emboldening. Enlivening.

Oy yep... And I figured... That if God was doing his thing. He would probably want an astronaut version of George the Westie (who will be 16 on Sept 30th 2021! I love you George!!!); floating around and watching the proceedings.

Always remember.

YOU are your own fire.

YOU are your own soul.

YOU are the tinder that can catch a spark in any moment and rage through the world with a flaming ferocity that can set the world ablaze.

YOU are enough.

God is already in you. Around you. Through you.

YOU are a miracle.

The sperm that you came from beat over 100 million other sperm to the line in the egg wars!

You are a hundred million to one shot!

Remember that.
